Product Scope:
All types of fans with rated input power ranging from 0.125 kW to 500 kW, including axial fans, forward-curved centrifugal fans, backward-curved centrifugal fans, mixed-flow fans, etc.
The new regulation substantially raises the minimum FEG requirements for all fan types. It adopts two major measurement methods: static pressure testing and total pressure testing, and defines five standardized test categories, A, B, C, D and E. The minimum energy efficiency requirements are substantially increased under different operating conditions. Mandatory requirements are detailed below:

Test Categories: Test setups that specify whether ducts are fitted to fan inlet and outlet during efficiency testing, to standardize test conditions and ensure comparable FEG results.

A: Free import, free export;

B: Free import, pipeline export;

C: Pipeline import, free export;

D: Pipeline import, pipeline export;

E: Free import, free export, no partition set between the air intake area and the air exhaust area.

From 24 July 2026, the formulas for fan efficiency (η) and minimum fan efficiency (ηmin) for axial fans, airfoil forward-curved centrifugal fans, backward-curved centrifugal fans and other centrifugal fans are listed below:

Fan Efficiency Formula :

η = Fan efficiency ;

CP = Power conversion loss correction factor ;

CC = Partial load compensation correction factor :

Cguard = Guard device compensation factor :

Pu(W)= Product of volumetric flow qv(m3/s)
and fan total pressure difference Δp(Pa);
Pe(W)= Input power.
Minimum Fan Efficiency Formula:
For fans with Pe<10kW:
For fans with Pe ≥ 10kW:
